Mayor of Germany Bremen and His Delegation Visit Izmir Marina
Coming to Turkey for the twenty-fifth anniversary of the sister city relationship between Bremen and Izmir, Germany's Bremen Mayor Dr. Andreas Bovenschulte and his delegation visited İzmir Marina. During the visit, the historical story of the Bergama Ferry, which was built in Bremen, Germany in 1951 and continues to serve in the Izmir Gulf, was conveyed and he expressed his great pleasure to hear that the relations between the two cities date back many years. A framed painting, including the production certificate of the Bergama Ferry, was presented to Andreas Bovenschulte by the Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, Mr. Tunç Soyer
