İzmir Marina project stands out as a social responsibility project implemented by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality. Thanks to the applied training programs carried out by the İBB Youth and Sports Club under the leadership of the İBB Youth and Sports Department, children from İzmir have the opportunity to meet the sea in İzmir Marina. Thanks to the existing swimming pool renovated within the facility, all nonswimming children in İzmir have the opportunity to take swimming lessons by professional trainers during summer. In the Maritime Training Center located in İzmir Marina, in addition to swimming trainings, İzmir athletes who will appeal to all age groups have the opportunity to learn about maritime and various sea sports, sportive boats (Optimist, rowing, canoe, sailing). “Sustainable Environmental Awareness” and “Swimmable Gulf Theme” are prioritized throughout all trainings.
